The calendars arrived this morning!

- Placed order online at 23:25 on Sunday night
- Email order acknowledgement at 23:27 on Sunday night
- Email at 16:03 Monday saying order has been completed
- 64 calendars arrive at my door at 8:25 Tuesday morning

Stunning service by Kodak

They look slightly darker than the first run - comparing them side by side it looks like someone at Kodak has looked at it and said "hmm, a sunset calendar, let's enhance the reds and oranges a bit" so the colours are much deeper and richer this time.

Better get them shipped out then! :D

Better than BT then. Report aged Mum's phone broken last Tuesday and that this has cut off the help line and she's 98 and when she falls over she needs the Helpline or to be able to call us. 'That'll be a priority case, Sir, don't worry. It needs a hole digging though'. 'There's one there now open'. 'Is there? OK'. Turn up Saturday (despite daily hurry up calls). 'Can't fix it Sir. Needs a hole digging in the road'. 'Would that be the hole that was there when we reported the fault but which was filled in on Thursday?' 'Yes Sir, it'll be that hole'. Monday 'Can I speak to the Manager, when will this priority repair be fixed?' 'I hope we could get the contractors to dig the hole befoe the end of the week', 'What the hole they just filled in?' 'Yes Sir, it'll be that hole they just filled in'. 'Sorry I am not very happy and I'm going to tell the papers that your idea of a priority repair for a vulnerable 98yr old who is cut off as a result of your repair work on another fault is to wait 4 days before doing anything and then not to be able to say when your contractors can come back'. 'Well I've done all I can'. Today, ooh look, man digging hole. 'Hello are you here to do the telecom work?' 'Yez Zir (he's Polish). I dig hole'. 'And you repair fault?' 'Nein Zir. I dig hole, telephone he come later.' 'When later?' 'I dig hole'. 'Good show, you dig hole'. Man digs hole and goes.....

Well done Neil

The fiendish hidden common link is - America.

Kioni - a some time American worker
Kodak - an American Company.

I note they also both begin with K, but I think thats coincidence.

Roger, the more I hear the more it reminds me of the early seventies - which was the first time I emigrated...

Also for Roger, I've posted your calendars out lunchtime today (Tuesday) so you should get them tomorrow in time for your trip.

Everyone else, I'll send payment info to everyone tonight.

I'll start another thread for those who wish to collect rather than have individual postage - more later

Ian and Bernie, I don't know yet if there is going to be another big reprint I'm waiting for feedback from a few people who may place bulk orders.

I can always print another one-or-two-off at anytime but it will cost £14.99 plus RNLI contribution of £1.60 plus delivery so more expensive than the ones I have managed to secure so far.

Feel free to take up the kind offers from Jim and Roger or if you don't mind stumping up the extra I can get you one (or however many you'd like) inside a week.
