Blaze destroys Sealine

I believe there were gas cylinders onboard together with petrol in cans for an outboard engine.
Praise must be given to the Marina Staff who worked to minimise the lost to boats around it and to the Fire Service who worked hard under hazardous conditions. The potential for a far greater lost of boats and damnage to others was kept very real.

Very sad. F43s are popular boats. Well done for localizing it - once fire gets a hold, the heat generated must be horrendous. The owner must be gutted.

I am 99% sure that was my old boat, Sealine 410 Smiley Girl. I think it was renamed Zambezi and fitted with a long ladder for scuba divers to get onboard more easily. You can just see it at the stern looks like a long TV aerial pointing upwards. I'm shocked.....hope no one was on board at the time and that the owner had her properly insured.

It was Zambezi - apparently some heaters had been left on on aboard to warm it up before going out later on. what a shame
