Blast around the bay

Dropped the better half in town for shopping and decided to give the boat a winter treat yesterday, it 's been sat idle on its berth for almost 3 months so I gave it a run out around the bay, the engines were warmed up to normal temp and then given a good blast, it was very refreshing after all the **** weather to be able to get out and have an enjoyable hour, despite being alone I thoroughly enjoyed it. After not using the boat for a couple of months it was the perfect tonic to remind you why you love it so much! Also managed to sit out on deck and enjoy a coffee and Subway while moored up at Mermaid Quay . Beats Christmas shopping and work, in fact it beats most things!

I was doing that last Dec and again no one around you can't beat it a good winter fix like that. I will be out there once the new boat is found.

Yes Mermaid Quay is pay and display. Seems to work ok.

We went out last saturday after being locked in by bad weather and lock maintenance for 6+ weeks. It was just sooo good.

I'm thinking of heading over there tomorrow to drop duaghter off for some xmas shopping, may stay over, not sure yet. I've seen there are power sockets on the pontoons there, are they usuable?

Due to some kind of maintenance there is limited pontoons available at mermaid quay at the moment, no sure about electrics.

Perhaps a rethink is required, I was thinking of some post shopping refreshments , maybe we need to relocate to a marina.
