Had a great sail from Cherbourg to Solent yesterday, but some of the instruments kept going blank (still switched on but showing no data ) & when this happened the autopilot cut out. Rebooting the system sometimes cured it & sometimes it cured itself. The boat is a Dehler with b&g electronics all linked by NMEA2000,
. Any ideas anyone???

Was it always the same ones that failed? Did the others keep on working as normal?
I would check all the simple things first. Are all the plugs and sockets secure? Could water got into any of them?

Yes it was always the same 2 screens that failed, thankfully the plotter (and all it's data) continued perfectly. I'll have a good look at the many plugs on Thur & try unplugging & replugging them/look for dodgy connections etc.
Thanks for the input!

Check the power cable to the n2k network. My plotter works from its own power cable so only sends and receives data on the n2k link. Garmin kit though.
