Blakes seacock replacement nuts and bolts

I am servicing a couple Blakes seacocks and note that there is a mixture of stainless steel nuts and bolts with the original Blakes nuts and bolts. Is there somewhere I can source similar bolts to the originals without paying the silly prices that Blakes quote ? Thanks.

If you want bronze try Anglia Stainless (yes, I know it says stainless but they sell silicone bronze fixings as well). Not sure if they do on-line sales I've always phoned them to order.

If you have a mix, are you sure that sombody hasn't converted the tread to metric?

No. They all have the same thread. I tested one of the original bolts to all.

ive just changed a blakes heads outlet. I kept the bolts and you are welcome to them if you like. They need cleaning up but I think they are ok. Worth a go if you like. Happy to send them to you - im at boat tomorrow so just need to remember (that could be the problem). I take it you mean the ones to fit the seacock through the hul, or the ones to clamp down the cone?

Classic Marine will supply original spec Blakes seacock bolts.

Although Blakes recommend only phosphor bronze, 316 stainless steel and phosphor bronze are close to one another in the galvanic scale so there ought not be a problem in using them together. Similarly silicon bronze fittings. Using either has been discussed in past threads, for example http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?210737.
