Hi,
Does anyone know how much it costs to leave your dinghy on the patch of land next to the car-park at Blakeney Harbour for a year? Couldn't find out anywhere!
Thanks,
Ally

Due to boats sailing for the Armada i believe, there is an ancient by-law that allows seafarers to keep their boats on the Carnser (dinghy park!) for free!

I have been a member of BSC for many years, buit now with a bigger boat have let it lapse.

For many years, there has been debate with the BSC, the Parish council and the National trust about managing the area.

At the moment you can keep your dinghy there for free, but i suggest you join the club, as they are the ones who manage the slipway, do the maintainance etc and are a really nice bunch.

The safety boat will always tow you in when the wind drops (as the tide is very fast!)

It is not very expensive and will support the sailing amenities.

Wow that IS good value! I'll probably join the club as soon as I can, so do I just turn up with my boat(still looking for a Laser for sale in Norfolk though!) on a trailer and bag a free spot or do you have to be allocated a place by a club rep?

You need to go up and just find/bag yourself a space!

Hard at this time of year as everyone is up there!

Best is go out at Easter and "mark" yourself a plot!

Worth going up and having a look now!

Two pegs, string and a name board on the ground work well!

or contact the club and see if they can help! i would go and have a look first though!
