A trifle blowy on the Blackwater today.

Couple of notable points.

Does anyone on here own a beautiful Ketch (I think) with 'GBR 8L' (if my memory serves me right) beating her way up towards Osea Island this afternoon. Lovely looking thing.

Secondly a sailing boat who's name (a single word) escapes me, had run aground near Bradwell power station and West Mersea life boat was going to assist, since I think she was pounding a bit. Hope all on board are safe and no major damage to the vessel.

GBR 8L is the Betty Alan, out of Burnham.
Lovely thing ain't she?
How would you like to keep the varnish looking good?

Stunning boat, flying four sails and making great progress against Westerlies and an outgoing tide, up the Blackwater. (I'd be 'moonwalking' backwards :D )

I struggle with keeping a rudder and tiller varnished let alone that lot. Worth the effort though I don't doubt. A highlight to a blowy and uneventful day.
