Blackout curtains ruined?

Follow up. I priced replacement curtains from Jeanneau and it was getting on for a grand plus shipping and customs, how long is a piece of string? Tried all kinds of paint on ideas without success, put on linings which didn't look very pretty from the outside. Finally, I purchased ready made blackout curtains from Dunelm and altered them to fit. Total cost £80 for the curtains and a couple of reels of thread. Result

My cat came with curtains. I then saw a sister model with them removed and was impressed with how much less cluttered and overly "cozy" it looked. I removed my curtains within a week, made blackout panels/covers that fit on the outside (they also better protect the windows and keep far more of the heat outside that internal curtains ever could), and never looked back.

The curtains are safely packed in a bag and will convey with the boat.
