A lot of X-Yachts have a stripe to disguise the tall coachroof.
Black stripe continuing the window line round the coachroof on yachts.....

Hi chaps,
Can anyone post pics/ links to pics of yachts with the gaps between the windows painted black to mask the window shapes please? Im toying with the idea and need help to visulise it. Google images doesnt help me, Ive tried umpteen combinations of search wording.

I did the opposite. My Jeanneau Attalia had the black stripe joining the side windows and forward facing one. I didn't like it so painted over it with white. IMO it looks much better

That's because you have been using their ridiculous default hosting system.

I'm thinking of replacing all the black 'smoke tinted' acrylic glass on my boat with translucent white acrylic instead. It'll let some light in but will cut down on the massive heat that gets in to the boat in Greece. We have to put a tarp over the 'glass' all the time, causes an almost instant 10 degree drop in temp below that and covering all that glass with makeshift curtains or blinds when tied up alongside is a real pain

the new format won't let me post pics either, the built in system says I'm over their limit and it doesn't accecpt photobucket; I assumed this was a new form of ' taste selectivity ' to filter out my pics, while allowing your spiffing knocker shots.

Seems a lot of messing about if your just doing a quick sketch to post here?
Anyway the black does look ok all round when you add thin white 'vinyl uprights'.
