black rubber!

Sorry if you were expecting something kinky (go on admit it you were /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) has anybody got any suggestions as to how to stop nasty black stains on gelcoat from window rubbers?
I guess a coat of wax on the gelcoat would help? or how about 'painting' the seals with a dose of captain tolleys finest?

Waxing the rubber will stop the problem.

As always OSO is spot on, a wipe down with damp cloth to remove surface "black" and then a quick rub over with polish.

WD40 smartens and seals the rubber as well but doesn't last as long.

Try 'back to black' from Halfords or caravan shops. Seals the rubber and brings it to a nice gloss.

thankyou for that, any old wax? beeswax, turtle wax, candle wax??
