Is that a Black Friday deal ? Or could you get that anyway with a bit of negotiation?

Marine Superstore are doing a blanket 10% excluding electronics which are 5% which is better than a kick in the teeth. Shame as I put an order through last week for £2k worh of stuff with Cactus as they wouldn't do a deal on a bulk load of stuff, Cactus did a bit of a deal but not as good as I could have got it from MSS with their BF offer.

We bit the bullet and have ordered one. Our Hood Vectran one still has great shape but needs restitching, so decided to have a new one instead.

Ended yesterday but I'm sure if you rang them saying the email went into your junk folder and threw a wad of cash at them they wouldn't say no?!?

Rather unusual to find a company that treats Black Friday as just Friday.

A few sailmakers, Hyde for instance, offer winter discounts of 20-25% % you get decent sails from them.

Somehow or other we got Black Friday the wrong way round. We stayed at home all day; the postie brought a cheque from those nice Barclays people worth a well-pleasing four-figure sum for mis-selling yon PPI stuff a couple of decades ago..... then Lloyds telephoned to say they'd given us £116 for cocking-up some account re-organisation we'd discussed with them the previous week.

I think we'll stay quietly at home again next Friday....
