Anybody scored any notable successes?

I see Kemp are offering a 25% discount on new pro-radial sails!

Marine Superstore are doing a blanket 10% excluding electronics which are 5% which is better than a kick in the teeth. Shame as I put an order through last week for £2k worh of stuff with Cactus as they wouldn't do a deal on a bulk load of stuff, Cactus did a bit of a deal but not as good as I could have got it from MSS with their BF offer.

Barton winchers ( poor man's self tailing conversion) local chandlers £73.

Rang local online chandlery £67.19.

Bought Cactus Navigation, Plymouth £55.96 delivered. Did a check on this forum and Cactus seems ok.

Thanks YB, as you say, it does appear to have been a one-day offer.

Rather unusual to find a company that treats Black Friday as just Friday.

You will have to be quick to catch this Black Friday Deal, it ends at midnight tonight. I have just ordered a new Bainbridge Neptune 4500 cooker. It has twin burners, grill and oven, electronic ignition, gimbals and pan clamps. The Recommended Retail is £649. My local chandlery quoted £529. Marine Superstore have discounted their normal price from £480 down to £432 - including free shipping.

Somehow or other we got Black Friday the wrong way round. We stayed at home all day; the postie brought a cheque from those nice Barclays people worth a well-pleasing four-figure sum for mis-selling yon PPI stuff a couple of decades ago..... then Lloyds telephoned to say they'd given us £116 for cocking-up some account re-organisation we'd discussed with them the previous week.

I think we'll stay quietly at home again next Friday....
