There are French cowbuoys too but there are still many more clearly marked pots than we are used to seeing this side of the channel.
I think there has been a loss of life, some years back now. If memory serves a Konsort picked up a pot off Anvil/St Albans Head area in strong tide, the owner went into the water to try and cut it free and was killed by the boat when it crashed on his head in the swell. I remember the Coroner commented on the need to more clearly mark pots, a plea that fell on deaf ears around here.
