Black Can Man strikes again

There are French cowbuoys too but there are still many more clearly marked pots than we are used to seeing this side of the channel.

I think there has been a loss of life, some years back now. If memory serves a Konsort picked up a pot off Anvil/St Albans Head area in strong tide, the owner went into the water to try and cut it free and was killed by the boat when it crashed on his head in the swell. I remember the Coroner commented on the need to more clearly mark pots, a plea that fell on deaf ears around here.

of Southampton.

The patrol (SP) boat now finds many of it's little short cuts out of bounds at night because of pot buoys. So maybe something will get done.

I still think that every pot buoy should be marked with the owners ident.

In daylight these floats would make excellent targets for the air gun.
