My brother is (or was) into bitcoin mining in a big way.. Although these days it seems the more he mines the lower the price goes..

I played with it for a few days and made about £400 but decided it was too risky, I would rather spend the money on the boat..

That's true.. Probably could have bought a boat with the money my brother has spent on mining gear.. The 4kw of electricity it uses could have gone nicely towards the fuel for the boat too..

all too true. I think the bubble for casual mining is long gone and it's only serious ASIC firepower that will productively mine the current difficulty levels. Just wondering if there were any bitcoin lottery winners that had got in early and bought something floaty.
