Have been invited out on a date in secluded little creek with Hells Angel type this weekend, allegedly "to look at some seals".
Obviously fairly well heeled, he has a large expensive Fairline gin palace boat much bigger than mine.
As my normal dates usually involve old people in old fart boats like Turbo 36s, bit apprehensive..
What can go wrong ?
Should I take a chaperone and let someone know where I am going ?
All advice most welcome.

As long as he's a biker and not the leather type you'd find at the Blue Oyster Bar, I wouldn't worry, you'll leave with your seals intact:encouragement:

If there nothing you won't do to get out on a Fairline?! :ambivalence:

Should be a good day, the seals viewed from a Fairline are usually a little glossier than those seen from lesser craft. And, no, that's not because of the diesel !!

....providing the temp stay above zero may well take a run down on Sunday to Sharfleet and shake out a few cobwebs, was going to spent day cleaning and polishing boat.
Still, never do today what you can put off till tomorrow !

It's an ebbing tide in the morning Fred so you can drift at a reasonable speed in the right direction...
Just in case you need them (try not to think of the expense)....

Had a lovely day out and came back at a steady 17 knots catching up with Fred (could tell it was him as it was the only boat with fenders flailing around) just before Kingsnorth where he responded by getting on the plane as well......I could hear him crying.....
You've got a nice boat there Fred.

...sure thats me........that boat looks bit clean !
What an absolute perfect day..bit of a hoot coming back against the wind.
Made a point of NOT looking at the fuel gauges on our return
Pig getting alongside, tide dragging us one way and the wind doing its very best to push us off the pontoon the other way.
However due to my masterful skippering skills only took about 10 goes :)
Dont suppose you know where to get some decent crew ?
