Bit of overkill for a lake with a 10knt limit...

I've worked out that owning a boat of that type is no more expensive that a static caravan and it isn't static.

At least the marina doesn't force you to sell it back to them every ten years for peanuts and then insist you can only but your new boat from them.

When I enquired about a static caravan, the annual fees were £2,345

Apparently it was bought just before the speed limit was imposed, and hasn't been used at all for the last two years. Quite apart from the optimistic price, I should think that the lack of use would make it one to avoid.

Cheers

I think it belongs to Malcolm Wilson (Ford Rally team boss), I am sure I have seen the late Colin McRae on it.

As others have said it doesnt get a lot of use, it spent at least a year in the marina while the boat house was rebuilt.

Speed limit aside, i don't see the problem if you want something stylish and only need a day boat, a Superhawk fits the bill. Theres plenty of similar stuff on the River Thames, broads etc... I actulay think it would make a very good buy, after all its only been in freshwater and if kept under cover probably imacculate. Five years isn't very old really so I don't see why the engines would have any major problems, it would be a different matter of course if it was on the coast.
