Bit of an idiot.....can anyone help?

Morning all,

I recently bought a very cheap little 22 footer to mess around in this summer, but have since been offered something infinitely more family friendly and I would really like to go for that. Unfortunately I need somewhere to moor the 22 footer on the Blackwater in the short term as cheaply as possible, just to allow me to ebay her and move her on.

Can anyone offer any solutions? As close to Maldon as possible would be perfect but any ideas welcome......

Will she take the ground? I've currently got an unoccupied drying mooring at Wrabness if it's any use, though it's a good daysail away.

There do seem to be some mud berths in Maldon, which might suit. Try phoning Jim Dynes at Downs Road boatyard. He may not have any himself, but he tends to know everyone and everything, so may be able to point you in the right direction.

Another possibility is the Maldon Yacht club, which have some moorings and boats in that inlet behind Brythnoth. Google would suggest a suitable phone number. Teh Blackwater sailing club would certainly have something, but a lot more expensive, I suspect!

Try talking to the brokerage at t Tollesbury Marina - they offer 6 months free storage for boats put up for sale through them.
Also, their spring sale is on next month, so lots of potential viewers in one weekend.
