anyone near or ever pass by Wilfholme landing? on the river hull, just north of, well, Hull

there's a boat there I'm trying to trace. Like I need another 30 tons of soggy wood, but this is another old fifie, the one that set my heart racing as a callow youth when I did a bit of work on her in the boat yard I had a part time job in as a teenager, many many years ago, and the boat that is responsible for my love of these things

now, from what I've heard she's sank recently, and the owner is trying to get rid, no idea if she's still sank or not, but would be interested to find out if she's still there though,

she's called Myrtle, big old Kelvin K3 in her

how the flip I'd get her from there to here though is another matter entirely!

I am going up there next week.....to do a bit of filming....only for the day mind, but if you can give me an idea where she may be.......

Of course, neither YOU or I need another 40' fishing boat!

Would look nice though.....take that wheel house off, take the big engine out, and stick a nice BIG rig on her.......

To move her you put her on a lorry, probably about 18 tons.

think thats her, the one thats pointy at both ends! Fell in love with that boat at the tender age of 15!

years since I've been that way, the river hull/driffield navigation is little more than a ditch in places but there's some big old boats up there

might have a detour down there myself shortly, but would be nice to know I'm not on a wild goose chase. that said if she's been sunk, doubt she'd have moved that far

getting it on a lorry and moving it is the easy bit (probably) its where to stick it, the track to our place is an adventure in a land rover!
