which biscuits (in their standard wrappings) seem to last best on board, pls ?

I mean 'last' = store.

On one racing boat I sailed, we lived on the old-fashined Suggestive biscuits, but the new versions seem to be made out of floor sweepings, and are feeble imitations of real manfood.

I find if I like them they don't store at all! I suppose the savoury biscuit selection in theplastic "tins" are best (I like the saltiness with tea), but sometimes I open several boxes of tools and spares before finding the biscuits.

Rob.

P.S. Good point about the Bourbons, they're still nice after they've gone soft.

Ships biscuits of course :D

They last best with weevils.

Ginger nuts any time, not as crumbly as digestives, not as tempting as choccy bics and just a chance the ginger is good for seasickness, or at least tell the crew that. Perhaps one should have an `on passage` and `in harbour` supply.
