Bird Mess - Stain

At the end of last season the local seagulls had a party on my Sadler 29 and although I managed to remove the worst,I am still having problems removing the last of the stain from the sprayhood ,dodgers etc,despite soaking and scrubbing.Any suggestions re stain removal and ways of discouraging birds from partying on my boat?

try nearly boiling hot soapy water, i get the same from the seagulls on my white van and i can't seem to shift it. once i used a sponge scourer and rubbed a load of laquer off cause i used scourer end! durr! - got the shit off alright though! toothpaste can get rid of many sorts of stains too so i'm told, particularly rust apparantly
