birchwood 22 petrol (knacked) to deisel

hello all.
found a a Birchwood 22 with a knacked Watermoto perol engine, is there a deisel engine that would fit to the gearbox and the engine compartment without a lot of trouble. or would it be best to repair / replace with same

in 25ft Birchwood, repaired a few times then swapped to Nanni Diesel, best thing I ever did
