Am back out of the boatyard with new bearings in lower appendage - titanium and advanced composite bearings in refurbished tube of natural materials. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Appendage has been redesigned to remove 21 degree offset to startboard /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifresulting in increased draught of approx 2cm, better directional control and greater stability.

Initial trials suggest some bedding-in still required but ultimately should be able to make an extra knot on all points. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Currently using outriggers to spread load and increase initial stability /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good to hear.

Just be careful. My next-door neighbour had a broken hip about five months ago. On Saturday she rang us to say that she had just fallen over. We rushed round to find her sitting in her chair with a large bump on her forehead. She explained (very lucidly) how it had happened, but I wasn't happy so called the ambulance. The paramedic was doubtful, but thought better safe than sorry so took her to hospital.

Not very safe. She died yesterday morning. Just be careful.

Hope you make a speedy recovery. Will you need earthing when in the marina to prevent galvanic action? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
