Bino's, any recomendations?

As stated before, there was a long discussion about pupil size & so on some while ago.

I was able to record my 72 yr old pupil size at 6.5 mm, so I can make use of most of the light from 7x50s. This also means that these glasses are more comfortable in a wide range of brightness and the eyes find it easier to adjust to full sunlight - for the first few seconds before the retina adapts.

We also found my 7x50s easier to use in windy/shaky conditions when we compared them with lighter models since the extra weight steadied them, though I have since bought image stabilised ones as well (we have at least 5 pairs). The extra weight could be tiring for, say, bird-watching, but this is not a problem on a boat when you usually only want to watch something for a short while.
