Vyv - does the main sheet prevent your bimini being used under sail?

As Chris says, the bridging piece is added after the mainsheet is disconnected from its car and connected to the base of one of the stanchions. The bimini is always up and has so far withstood more than 40 knots of wind for three consecutive days. Adding the two struts forward, close to the genoa sheet winches, was a modification that transformed the stability of the bimini.

Tec Sew

Another vote in support of Tec Sew - and with no connection I hasten to add!

They did a full cockpit tent for my Moody 346 and were very helpful in redesigning certain elements of it to maximise light. Workmanship is excellent and the enclosure has been an absolute pleasure to use. I did hesitate at the cost but am now very glad I took the plunge!
