Bimini/sprayhood vs Med sun!

I replaced my boat’s bimini and sprayhood a couple of months and was wondering if there is anything I could to maintain them and let them survive the hot Mediterranean sun. Both are made from sunbrella plus cloth.
I am considering spraying the zips with silicone spray from time to time and have the sprayhood windows covered with a bit of sunbrella cloth left out. I always wash the windows with fresh water and try to dry them afterwards with a sponge (or whatever is called). I am not using any sort of house window cleaners.
Any tips? The canvas already looks dusty but how am I going to clean it without damaging the Teflon on it?
