Billet a go go

Moving stuff about in the depths of one of our stores this morning, I came across a load of aluminium billet left over from a long ago project.
As I had forgotten about it for almost a decade, it is now buckshee, and going to be "mine" for fun purposes. That means for the yacht.
it is all 6 inches wide, and varies in thickness from 12.5, 15, 25, 40,50mm.
Obviously there will be some fancy billet cup holders made to the wife's specification.
I was wondering what you chaps would use it for if you had such a supply, and the machinery to work it.
I will be making an anchor mount for starters.

I made a new gooseneck from a piece of billet about 40mm thick. There are lots of boat parts you could use that lot for.

What grade is it?

I seem to remember it was 6061/T6. I wouldnt have spent on anything more exotic than that. It was for making a laser cannon array. I just found a load of round stock too!

I used 25mm in place of the plywood in the mast step of my Sigma 33

Surely the only certain way of finding a use for it is to throw it out?

Yea, you know it! Why does that always happen?

I am building a couple of mounts for small electric winches for a similar purpose among other things. Not a bad idea, not for winter as we sail all year round, but for ease of stepping for exploring.
