Hi, a few people may have seen this on other forums, so I apologise in advance.....
I own Bill Shakespeares 1962 "Avon Special", this year should see the start of the restoration back to her previous glory..
I have managed to gather a fair bit of information so far, much of it from thepowerboatarchives.co.uk , I am trying to gather information on both the boat and Bill Shakespeare, I have been fortunate enough to be in touch with Roger Cull, who helped build the boat, so that helps!.
If anyone out there has any information or photo's of the Shakespeare racing days, please give me a shout.
The 1962 Merc 1000 is being restored in the States at the moment, just trying to source original style fiberglass bucket seats at moment...
