How many of you have been following the travels of the redoubtable Bill Serjeant through his wonderful blog site. http://bills-log.blogspot.co.nz/
His latest voyage of 6 weeks in his tiny West Wight Potter, from his home waters in The Crouch down to Falmouth in Cornwall has been truly inspiring.
A man of great faith and fortitude indeed, in the mould of Charlie Stock.
And what's more he is selling the boat for the princely sum of £1300.00
What price a bargain that can take you cruising on the sort of scale few ever achieve...and when you've finished bring it home to await your next adventure ;)

I love Bill Serjeant's blog.

Yantlet, you've come up with a New Zealand web address no doubt because of your location, but as you go on to say, Bill is based in Essex and is a UK coastal sailor, of very many years' experience.

The setting up of his fourteen foot West Wight Potter and her voyage from the Crouch to Falmouth was wonderful reading and a real guide to anyone thinking of cruising in a tiny boat. As Yantlet says, the boat is for sale, or at least was. Bill changes boats every year or two to have the challenge of setting up and sailing a new one.

He made the same voyage quite recently in a nineteen foot Seawych: a very big and luxurious boat for him.

He often writes posts about types of boat he sees when out walking around his area, as well as having an interest in innovative micro sailing boat kit designs, usually for boats under fifteen feet, some of which he has built and sailed.

Most of the blog is about boats but there are some other posts, often about Bill's strong Christian faith.

Always worth a visit.
