There is no doubt that there has been under investment over a few years.

Cruise Ships play a big part of the economy now.
St Peter Port is a working port, and as such needs to comply with the regulations that that entails.
Walk ashore pontoons for visiting yachtsmen are improvements that are essential.

But the sale of all the hoses they removed from the pontoons earlier this year, on ebay will not cover the investment.
So it will be the users who will pay.
50 % increase in mooring charges has been muted.
You can understand how many local boatowners are not too exited about the plans.

I think I will go to Garyos Beer and Natter while I can still afford it.
