Back in January they were doing some major work on the sea defences of the castle, with access to the shingle beach along the south facing building closed at both ends, so they might still be at it.....

I did wonder if it was some kind of works like that. Soon as this blimmin lock down is lifted I'll trundle over there and nose around.

There was an article about the castle structure being undermined by the bad winter storms in the lymington times a while ago, cracks starting to appear in some of the internal walls ! . Hopefully they are shoring it up , personally i would think it would take more than a few truckloads of concrete to do a proper job.hurst storm damage
