Looking at a range of boats to buy, all between 5 and 12 years old. Thing is, while most have great big windscreens, most have pathetic small wipers which might as well not be there.

A couple of the boats have the room on the flat panel to mount a bigger base so I was wondering if it were possible to convert them over to he big pantograph style wipers that I had (briefly) on the W34?

They were bloody great and really shifted the water from the screen, and of course gave a big area as the blade remained vertical.

Good point, jrb1978. Don't know the answer but most boats are fitted with pathetic wipers which can't handle a modicum of spray and dissolve in a pile of rust within a season

These are the people that you want Jezz. Not particularly cheap but 'you get what you pay for'

They were very helpful in complete replacement for Ocean Tigress /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Jez,

Mine go through the windows, and as they are a little more complex where they bolt on they need two holes. So as long as you dont need to mount on the glass you might be fine, but I wouldn't fancy drilling a second hole in the windscreen of a boat that had standard wipers.

What I'd like is one of those arrangements where someone in jeans and a white shweatshirt comes round and wipes the windows for you.
