Saw this sad sight at the entrance to the Hamble River last week.

If that was not enough, only just a little further on there was another yacht stuck on the bank when turning up Southampton Water too soon - on a falling tide too.

I know it was only raggies, but you can't help feeling sorry for the owners.

Was it very foggy at the time - I can't see anything !!

Flying Fish

That's the Laser 28 Flying Fish, as featured in Howard's Way.

Shame, its a nice boat, I had a look under her, she's now ashore, I reckon it should be repairable.

Apparently she was hit by a much bigger boat and holed.

Pleased to hear that the Flying Fish is repairable. No-one wants to end up on the bottom.

Ref CIC in October. This is where I hang my head in shame. J and I have booked a week in Greece on a Benetau 323. Yes - a raggie. Trying out the "dark side". Must get used to seeing my whiskey at 45 degrees in the glass. (List - not temperature)

Will be heading for CI on 1st August, then on to Brittany for a couple of weeks. Just hope the weather improves.
