Tommy Nielsen doesnt just restore classic boats ,he sails them as well. i took these pictures of the Olga ,a Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter sailing in the Bristol Channel with Tommy at the Helm.
Hello, I have just looked her up in my 1975 issue of Lloyds Register of Yachts - back then she was owned by the Southampton School of Navigation. She was built by John I. Thorneycroft & Co. Ltd. in Southampton in 1929 (as noted above).
Principal dimensions : LOA 80', LWL 57.7', Beam 17', Draught 10.3' (thats deep!), Sail area 2,275 sq. ft.
Tonnages - Gross 53.19, Net 47.16, Thames (TM) 78.
Nice pictures,going oft the subject a little, does anyone know anything about a volvo 2001 10hp diesel engine, normaly i wouldnt touch a volvo volvo like this,newer volvos being relabled perkins etc so the spares were gettable,but this pure volvo is being donated to me and i dont like to say no, what do you the panel think, chris

Just checked the "Captain's log" on the website and she was, indeed, in Cardiff Bay around 27th January. Looks like one of her skippers is the grandson of an old friend - a nice bit of extra info.
