Big day arrives

Well not that bigger day really but "Micaralee" gets launched today after to long ashore , man & boy taking her to Burnham marina this afternoon and then up to her new home at Brandy hole tomorrow on the tide .

We plan on a couple of days messing about on the crouch before a venture upto Walton for pirates w/e .

Looking forward to seeing some of you on the water at last .

What a lovely evenin , sat here in the marina , william had his first rowing lesson
Even pulled the main up to make sure the stringy bits were in right places , now for a stroll into town for a pint I think

I have a week off in August to complete more jobs which will just leave the standing rigging and headsail furling gear plus the electrics. Darling daughter wiped out the boat fund for deposit and rent on new flat for uni. Still wondering what happened to the last flat deposit I gave her...

Yes, I did, a Rival 34, but it was too big for the Jester Azores Challenge, so I put Glayva in the water especially and have now taken her out again at Rochford.

Had a look at your engine sitting next to your boat the other day. Was wondering why the head was off. And very impressed with your washboards.

That's the old engine which Nigel is supposed to collect. It came out of the boat in that condition... The tarp has UV disintegrated by the sound of it and blown of in all the carp weather. I was down a couple of weeks ago to check that all was well and pump the rainwater out of the bilge. The way she's sitting on the blocks allows the water to seep in through the cockpit lockers but hopefully will be okay on a mooring.
The 'new' YSE12 thumper is installed complete with new raw water strainer, CAV filter and exhaust water trap etc. Starts on the button.
I'm down at the weekend so will go and have a look.
