I cursed the last bloke who had my boat for years. Five to be precise. For all that time I've had a piece of carpet. Wrapped round my radar/plotter screen. Everybody laughed. Last time on the boat I was looking in the cupboard under the sink. And what did I find. But the sun screen for the radar!! Wonder what else there is in there??

I have a reverse tendency. Whenever I get a boat I collect all my boaty stuff, charts, boat hooks, outboards, bits of rope, jam jars full of screws, clips, etc., part used reels of cable, tools, things too big or too small that may anyway come in handy, and pile it all on new vessel. I never know where I put the stuff when I want it so when the time to sell comes I unearth the same old junk and take it all home again.
