Just one of those blank brain thoughts - sailing across the Atlantic - heading for St Lucia from Las Palmas = what is the course to steer - just sort of point westish?

in a 'good' tradewind year a direct course will have wind all the way but more often that route will leave you becalmed a lot of the passage.

the old saying 'south west till the butter melts' is good general advice- head southwest to the latitude of the destination or at least till the trades kick in.

Depends on how many Northern Monkeys you have in your crew!
Have you got a new boat mate?
Drop me an e-mail.

Northen monkey - great to see you're still alive and kicking!
What are you up to?
Yes sold the AWB and bought the HR.
