Are there any important and influential people, in the marine and related industries, who use this forum and keep their real identities secret for some reason? I sometimes get the feeling that some replies have a slight 'angle' to them. As if the person replying has a great deal of inside knowledge but cannot be completely open about what they know and, indeed, how they know it....

The MD of MDL pitches up occasionally although he will brooch general issues i think he prefers direct correspondence over specifics.

and I am sure this site is monitored by many. Let's face it there is some good product and service feedback to be had here for free and you would be mad to ignore it.

okay it makes depressing reading if you work for a certain swedish (is the marine engines still swedish?) engine manufacturer but there is some constructive feedback on other stuff that if i was making the product would take on board.

as for the others well if they keep their identities secret how are we to know???

Come on brain.get this over and i can go back to killing you with beer

The Camembert syndrome ?

you might be overlooking the possibility that some people will pose as insider on anything ranging from the kinematic viscosity coefficient of silicone to the exact baking time of BarraBrit.... if course , that does not apply to me /forums/images/icons/wink.gif trust me , I have some deep knowledge on this topic /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Les Grandes Fromages

But of course, zut alors!
Le biggest cheese of all is Parahandy who is big in his own way, there is then ccscott who owns North Sea Rigs - otherwise how would he get so much time off - TCM is big in leopardskins, Jimi is a big (hairy) scot and of course the list would be incomplete without HLB who is big in Burgees....
From myself - big pillock
