about 4 large bombs have been found and detonated in the thames estuary in the last six months. they make a huge water column about 200ft high.

Some years back a german ship cocked up his approach to the locks in Swansea docks and did much damage to the piers etc. The Dockmaster commented on the VHF "captain youve done more damage to these docks in 5 minutes than the Luftwaffe managed to do in 5 years" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Saw this take place off the Dutch coast this summer. An amazing sight, we were about 3 miles away and the column of water was incredible - especially as the mine/bomb was on the seabed.
