Sailing back from Ooostend last night Thames CG were issuing warning of a ship in Sunk Anchorage with unexploded ordinance on board, ships were asked to give the anchored vessel a mile exclusion zone, would these two items be connected?

They were asking for everybody to keep 1.5 miles away from it this morning.

The Congo River must have hoovered it up. And the bomb disposal people dropped it back in transferring it! But it's got a new fuse attached now.

They detonated one off St Peter's Flats many years ago. I guess I was two maybe three miles off and felt the explosion through the hull v shortly before the column of spray and bang. The water carried shock wave was not pleasant. I shall leave the dead fish to you!

Alternativly they could tow it to the mouth of the Medway, light blue touchpaper and stand VERY clear .. I reacon about 20 miles might be safe (ish)

Or tow it to the Sunk Beacon and detonate it there. Gets rid of the old beacon and instant dredging - everyone's a winner!!
