Anyone ever managed a successful repair on these dinghys, mine has rubbed through and created a small hole on the bottom of the hull, is it repairable or terminal?

I suffered a long split in my BIC years ago. I had to take it to a specialist plastics welder for a proper repair. Not cheap!

loctite super glue=all plastics will do the job or other 2 pack glues so long as it says that it will stick POLYETHYLENE and i have used the loctite one to stick a patch that i cut out of a daz washing liq bottle on my 252 and it works a ok. milk cartons are the same type plastic and as long as you rough both bits with a bit of 100 grade paper and dont touch them it will work.

I think I would be tempted to repair it with a sheet of similar Polyethylene (PE) from a plastic suppliers.
They usually have offcuts available.
I would radius all the lower edges of the patch so they will slide with out snagging. Then I would stick it down with Sikaflex and use sealed head countersunk pop rivets to hold it all in place.
Bomb Proof.
