Beware of Greeks

I'm told that the big flotilla/charter companies are having a wrangle with the Greeks about non EU staff. As anyone who's been on such a holiday will remember most of the staff sound like the cast of Neighbours but they're finding it tricky to get a work permit this year.

maybe that the Greek authorities are moving towards a more compliant with EU regulation way of doing things. We did after all require this fellow EU member to (quite rightly)revoke it's law about "Only Greek nationals being allowed to run yacht charter businesses in Greece" as it was uneuropean so maybe they've now decided to see what other clubs there are in the bag?

My forename comes from the Greek meaning stone or rock....being a sailor means I spend a great deal deal of time avoiding myself or worrying about where I am!

Just thought I'd throw that in to the conversation.....sorry.
