An addition to Tillergirl's postings here, just posting a warning here that 4 boats have had prop entanglements on Saturday. Two of these may have been down to the high spring tides, and some buoys were underwater, with strops still attached. The other two (Gladys included) were in an area a bit further west from the Obstruction shown on Roger's Quarters chartlet and south of the Channel (a normal "exit" for Mersea locals). I'm certain there was nothing visible, and nothing appeared after that would give us a clue.
