Beta engine installation in Brittany. Anyone had it done there?

I'm thinking of replacing my current engine with a small Beta. Has anyone had this done in Southern Brittany? Can you recommend a firm to do it?

I can suggest you contact Fowey Marine Engineers, they are a Beta agent and having talked to them at the London Boat show recently they have done work in Brittany before. I have used their services on my Beta 20 and I have found them very helpful, however they are local to me.

I know the 50hp, both use the kubuto block, but for some reason blue is more expensive than red!!!

Both Beta and Nanni are based on the Kubota engine, but are they otherwise the same?

The other differences are (1) different geographic spread of agents - I suspect more Nanni in France, and more Beta in UK, US, etc. but check if it's important to you; and (2) after sales advice and spares - Beta are very helpful and knowledgeable, spares readily available if needed and sent out pdq . . . .

I've heard nothing but good about Beta service so I think I'd choose that rather than a Nanni.
