I am fitting one of these shortly. i remeber a previous post which said that the standard flex coupling provided by Beta is very weak. Has anyone had experience of this coupling and do I need to go for a Vetus Bullflex type? Any thoughts?

Hi Martin
I have supplied (over 100) and fitted (over ten) many BZ482 to Albin Vegas. The standard supply is with an R&D Coupling and associated half-coupling which is supposed to shear if you catch a chain etc to save the gearbox. I always recommend a Centaflex Type 12 Coupling instead (about £140) but well worth it. Allows a bit of misalignment, easy to install and makes it even quieter. If you want to drop me an email for any other advice my address is:

Hi Steve

Do you happen to know if this same situation exists with the BD1005 (28hp) model?

Regards
