Best wet & dry vacuum

On both previous boats I bought Titan plastic drum wet & dry vacs from Screwfix, and these both served me until I sold the boats and left these aboard as part of the inventory. These were excellent for dragging the last vestiges of anything in the bilge, and draining off any oil from the surface within the drum into a bucket was simple.

Prices presently on these have considerably increased - any other suggestions, or do I stick with what I have had good results with previously ?

Last I knew Wickes were selling them under their own label.

I have an old green Charles/Henry wet and dry at home.. Must be at least 15 years old. Easy to change between the modes.

At the hydro electric station we have a Numatic Industrial W&D, with two motors

Which is even easier and tougher. Same company.

The plumbers doing my bathroom use a wickes wet and dry vacuum cleaner. Gets the last muck out of water tanks and cisterns and also does a good job of clearing up dry muck.
