Whats the best walking sticks to use for a temporary cripple .. don't ask. F#cked left ankle and badly bruised right heel!

Trekking poles are the way forward IMHO. The great thing about walking sticks is that they give you an opportunity to carry an offensive weapon and that under the rubber stopper at the bottom these have a rather nasty spike............ /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

yes, definitely trekking poles. Much better grip and, as you've 'pointed out' they come with a 'poker'. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I use 'em in the fens, I've painted go faster stripes on mine.
