best steel supplies in UK ?

Could anyone suggest where to get the best deal on wheeled and primed plate in the S. of England. Thanks...

A lot depends on the type of steel you require, hot rolled / cold reduced, thickness, grade, quantity, delivered / collected etc. etc.

I have four different suppliers for the steel that I use........your best bet is to just go through the Yellow Pages and phone arround......

Did that with the local yellow pages. Got the response that it,s best to buy the steel and prime it after purchase...

I want A43 4 x 8 in 1/8th (3mm) cold rolled...Could you email me the ph: numbers of your suppliers...Thanks..Paul

There's a firm in Uxbridge next to the canal, I used to get my steel from them.
A good company , sorry cant recall the name !.

If you don't want a full sheet then Metal Supermarkets in Southampton is the best 023 8022 0999, and they will deliver for free if you are not too far away.
For full sheets my first choice would be Hall & Pickles in Eastleigh. 023 8065 1815, very helpful people, they do have a delivery charge.
F.H.Brundle in Southampton my be able to help if you catch them on a good day, 023 8070 3333 They also charge for delivery.
