Best rope for furling genoa

Its 10mm nylon on the drum at the moment and looking a bit worn. Is braid on braid normal for this?

I put a bit of skinny Dyneema on the Twister. It never self-jammed the way the old braid line did from time to time.

i have some of the core removed to reduce the line build-up on the drum

It is on my Furlex 200. Some people strip the core out of braided 3 strand and use the braid to wrap up smaller.

Nylon stretches too much by about 25% only good for mooring and anchor lines SAILORMAN is right braid on braid polyester is a good rope strong and does not stretch. Dont use polypropylene rope it degrades too easily in sunlight.
