Best roomy boat around 30ft

As we generally spend a high percentage of our time on the mooring compared to cruising. What are your opinions on the best boats for space and comfort around 30ft? It appears that many river estuary boats fit the bill but not sure if they can handle coastal cruising.
We currently have a Merry Fisher 805 which we like but thinking about what our next boat might be.
Speed is not important.

How about a Broom 9/70 or 10/70? Loads of space inside, good for sitting around on tye aft deck and capable of both river, estuary and coastal .

We have been well pleased, it is a good sea boat with loads of modern extras.
Very economical with shaft drive and wheelhouse + patio doors.
Only reason we would think about changing is for something with more acc. without being too long. Otherwise we will be quite happy to stay with the 805.

Seamaster 30, old but with 11ft beam is huge inside. Capable sea boat and will plane with enough horsepower! Similar boat is the Seamaster 950 with a flybridge if I recall.

Based on your previous experience and requirements it should be possible to make priorities and narrow down the selection.
If you decide on e.g. shaft/stern drive, displacement/semi/full planing, full standing height below deck, patio doors, pantry up or down, cockpit or aft cabin etc. you'll exclude quite a number of models.
When you want it not too long and still roomy, width and height become important parameters. And then ofcourse interior layout.

Age, engines and equipment are other parameters that push price. Up - or down.

Well, I'm bound to say this, but what about a Sunline 31, like Rafiki? Has 2 permanent double berths, and a very sociable cockpit. Economical cruising too with twin smallish diesels. Will fit your budget too.
