Best resource for inshore weather for a week or so ahead?

I really like the App Weather Track, very simple GRIB files that you can tailor for a specific cruising area, lots of advanced custom features that I have not really explored for the weather enthusiast. I have found the wind, wave height and precipitation forecast to be very reliable.

You are certainly correct about Weathertrack being a comprehensive service. It also offers “non-GRIB” information such as synoptic charts. Like all apps, it has its pros and cons. I included it on my GRIB app page at http://weather.mailasail.com/Franks-Weather/Grib-Files-Apps#Weathertrack. However, I left my iPad on the boat so cannot check it out just now. If you or anybody else has time to check what I say on this page or has any corrections to this or other apps, or additions, then please let me know. I see now that I have not mentioned their tidal stream as a charged for add-on.

For Internet access on the boat, particularly weather I use the laptop so do not check the various apps in the real sailing world.

As regards accuracy, it can be no better than any other GFS based service. In particular, please note the last para of #40.
